Chipolo Teams Up with Perry Ellis to Announce a Fashion-Forward, Bluetooth-Enabled Wallet for Men

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- At the 2018 International Consumer Electronics Show, Chipolo, the Bluetooth tracker startup giving every item the power to be found, announces a partnership with iconic menswear fashion brand, Perry Ellis, to bring consumers the Tech Wallet. The smart wallet, designed for the modern man, is made of genuine leather and leverages the world’s thinnest Bluetooth tracker, Chipolo Card, to prevent consumers from losing their wallets.

“Everyone has experienced that sinking feeling in your stomach when you realize that you’ve lost your wallet. If you’re like me, you carry half your life in your wallet between credit cards, IDs, insurance cards and money,” said Primož Zelenšek, CEO and co-founder of Chipolo. “If your lost wallet falls into the wrong hands, you could be the victim of identity theft and fraud that could have long-term repercussions. Through our partnership with Perry Ellis, we are making more items trackable and expanding our community search feature. Available in black and at 4.25" wide x 3.25" height, the genuine leather wallet features a customized sleeve, which sleekly conceals the Chipolo Card without adding extra bulk. When the Tech Wallet goes missing and is within 200 feet of the user, they can sound a 95-decibel ring to locate it. If the wallet is lost outside of that range, Chipolo’s global Lost & Found Network, which is already enabling more than 1 million users around the world to find more than 50,000 lost items daily, will automatically start searching for it. When another Chipolo user passes by misplaced wallet, the original user will receive a confidential update with the wallet’s last known location.

The Tech Wallet will be available for $75 at Macy’s in stores and online and on in February 2018.

Additionally, Chipolo is announcing new partnerships with Bragi, makers of the world's first hearable, and Wistiki, a French Bluetooth tracking company, which enables more consumers to take advantage of Chipolo’s community search future. Through its partnership, Bragi headphones will be introducing the Chipolo tracking technology in a future Bragi Operating System release to reduce the likelihood of losing or misplacing the headphones. It will also allow Bragi customers to tap into Chipolo’s community search when their headphones go missing.

Further expanding Chipolo’s community, Chipolo’s partnership with Wistiki will merge both companies’ Lost & Found communities together, arming Chipolo and Wistiki users with one massive support network to give them peace of mind knowing that they’re never alone in their search for misplaced items. By sharing data, which is anonymized and can’t be used to identify specific users, both companies can expand their already substantial Lost & Found communities without sacrificing confidential user information.
